Did it ever occur to you idiots that MANY signed the petition so we could vote AGAINST it when it hit the ballot? Boneheads.

I want to thank the eye Dr.at the walmart in Lebanon,Oregon. While checking my eyes he discovered bleeding behind my eye.He said I needed to have an Ultra Sound and notified my primary care doctor. This was done and then a MRI.A 99% clogged on my left side and 80% blocked on the right side.I was operated on 2 weeks later. Luckly it was caught before I had a stroke.

I'm glad that this man is supporting a solid definition of a family, including the foundation of a man and woman who are married. I know many are trying to redefine that which has already being defined, but it doesn't change what marriage is.
Abe Lincoln once asked a boy how many legs were on a horse. The boy said "Four." Abe asked, "Suppose you call the tail a leg. How many legs does it have now?" The boy said, "Five." Abe smiled and said, "Actually, he only has four legs. Even if you call a tail a leg, it's still a tail."
Call marriage what you want, but its original definition is what it is... one man, one woman.

HURRAY for Mike & Susan Duke, & all the others who signed this petition.
As for "thanks to the notation of a commenter", the ANONYMOUS "Concerned Arkansas Citizen", he's a COWARD & an IDIOT who hides his own identity while he exposes the identities of those who signed this petition. Just another intimidation tactic from the pro gay community.

I don't believe people signed this petition so they can vote against the ballot measure. If you're against it, why enable people to pass it? That's like buying an alcoholic a beer and complaining that he won't stop drinking.

"I'm glad that this man is supporting a solid definition of a family"
They you should also be glad someone is letting you know about it.
By the way, you might want to learn just how many times the concept of "family" and "marriage" has changed over the years before making the type of statements that you make.
So can someone tell me why they don't take children from single mothers if a child is better off being an orphan than living with anyone besides a married mother and father?

THANK YOU MIKE DUKE! I had mixed feelings about Wal-Mart but now I'm all for them 100%. I will shop there even MORE!

Pretty much from I read,.. you are idoits and embeciles. You have no idea of what is going on socially in time now.
If someone wants whatever, so be it!!! Does it hurt you?
Get on the bandwagon of someting that matters, you are worthless skum for even commenting on this just like me.

Good for him. I always knew Wal-Mart was a good, family-friendly company.
And just because we disagree with a few of you out there, does not make us idiots, nor does you disagreeing with me make you an idiot. We are INDIVIDUALS. And as such we are entitled to our own opinions. Here in California the famous and infamous to some, Prop 8 was passed. Now homosexuals are outraged that the people voted and got what they wanted. If Massachusetts wants gay marriage, and the majority voted for it over there, fine, the majority won and that's what a democracy is. Let people think how they want and don't call them an idiot because they disagree with you.

Yay for Mike Duke for standing up in something he believes in!! I don't see why people are getting upset just because of his personal opinion.

The abused and discarded children of straight couplings are forced to live in institutions, while highly trained, educated, and experienced mental health and medical professionals are denied the right to care for them, just to appease the prejudice of a simple majority. Denying discarded children the opportunity for a nurturing home and denying equal rights to relatives of those children, as well as to doctors, firemen, law enforcement officers, social workers and others who dedicate their lives to improving society just because they happen to be gay, is cruel and selfish.

Hey Tom Joseph, thanks for your folksy homily about Abe Lincoln, and someone who doesn't know his leg from his tail. I can see why it appealed to you.

Tom Joseph, you do know Lincoln was gay? The founder of the Republican Party is a friend of Dorothy.
idiot.

I didn't see my name on the list but I did sign the petition. I signed because I believe in the democratic process. I believe that I and all other voters in Arkansas have the right to vote on these type issues. I voted that two people who were not willing to make a long-term commitment would not have the option to hurt a child. If an adult can't commit to marriage how in the world do you suppose they would be able to commit to the longterm care and responsibilities that come with having a child? Are there exceptions to this thinking? Of course, each person must vote to what they perceive as the greater good.

So Tammy,
"If an adult can't commit to marriage how in the world do you suppose they would be able to commit to the longterm care and responsibilities that come with having a child?"
two words: teen pregnancy.
and yet, they still have children. you know, like trashy Bristol Palin. She's a momma and called off her faux wedding anyway. That baby is in better hands? I'm just asking.
"Of course, each person must vote to what they perceive as the greater good."
maybe, just maybe stupid people shouldn't vote?
Posted by: ryan charisma | May 05, 2009 at 11:51 AM
". I voted that two people who were not willing to make a long-term commitment would not have the option to hurt a child."
What about two gay people who are more than willing to make a long-term commitment but have to fight day and night to get that relationship recognized by the state? What about these people Tammy? Many of my gay coupled friends have been together in excess of 25 years and yet, thanks to bigots who vote against them time after time, they would be disqualified under this law.

Do you people not get it? Are you really that narrow minded? Imagine judgement day and explaining that you helped deny children a good home. I don't see much sign that we married couples are adopting these children. If we are to deny the kids this chance, then we should be prepared to adopt all the kids who need homes. These are children who need good homes! Their right to adoption or foster care has been trampled. This petition has affected ALL unmarried cohabitating couples too. Mike Duke is supposed to be the leader of a global company which employs and sells to a VERY diverse population. Yes he is entitled to his personal opinion. But as the face of Walmart he must support diversity of people. He doesn't believe, and this action demonstrates that Duke has No repect for Some individuals.

"Imagine judgement day and explaining that you helped deny children a good home."
You'll never get that far.
First you'll have to explain why you have sinned against God with your homosexuality

Patriot will that be the day after you have to explain 'bearing false witness against your neighbor'?
