Shocking Video Reveals Underbelly of ‘Ex-Gay’ Ministries
NEW YORK – Truth Wins Out condemned Manifested Glory Ministries in Bridgeport, Conn., for practicing child abuse in the name of religion, after a video surfaced where the church tried to exorcize demons from a gay teenager.
“This video reveals the underbelly of the ex-gay ministries and shows the medieval mindset of such organizations,” said Wayne Besen, Executive Director of Truth Wins Out. “We call on all such ministries to immediately stop the child abuse, which is harm in the guise of healing. As an organization that helps victims of such barbaric practices, we can attest to the psychological trauma that can result.
The exorcism video shows a teen writhing on the ground as adults implore so-called “homosexual demons” to get out. The leaders yell at the boy on the ground saying, “Right now in the name of Jesus, I call the homosexuality, right now in the name of Jesus.” This scene unfolds for 20 minutes with the boy in a near seizure, even vomiting.
Patricia McKinney, pastor of the nondenominational church who describes herself as a prophet, told CNN that she believes homosexuality, like crack addiction can be influenced by demons.
“It’s not just the homosexuality spirit. It could be the alcohol spirit, the crack cocaine spirit, the adultery spirit. Everything carries a spirit,” McKinney told CNN.
Unfortunately, this terrifying incident is not unique. It is a standard part of groups such as Exodus International, which promise to help people “pray away the gay.”
Well they are personal demons for a lot of people.
Why do you hate religion so much? These people have a right to practice their religion just as you have a right to indoctrinate the same kid into a life of homosexuality.
Stop the hate at KTN

Demonic posession is what someone like Patriot uses as an excuse for the same sex feelings they have. It's sad that we have people living in this type of fear based fantasy.

You believe in one thing they believe in another - live and let live right Hosty.
They call you child abusers, you call them child abusers - everyone wins!
Posted by: The Patriot | July 02, 2009 at 06:44 AM
Could you explain what your statement means? I have no clue how everybody wins in this situation.
Posted by: John Hosty-Grinnell | July 05, 2009 at 05:04 PM
you win because you use this as a rallying point for your hatred of Christianity.
We win because the majority of pedophiles are gay men. And it helps to prove our point when someone like this comes along;
A gay Episcopal activist who is a fan of New Hampshire Bishop V. Gene Robinson and a Duke University official has been charged in federal court with offering his 5-year-old adopted son up for sex.
Frank Lombard, associate director of the Center for Health Policy, was arrested Wednesday in Raleigh, the FBI said.
An unidentified informant, who already faces child porn charges in a different child sex case, pointed investigators to Lombard, according to court documents. The informant told investigators he met Lombard on the Internet four years ago. The informant described in graphic detail how he allegedly observed Lombard molesting an African-American child on four occasions over an Internet video chat service called ICUii.
...During the chats, according to the affidavit, "FL" [Frank Lombard's screen name] told undercover investigators that he had himself molested his child, whom he adopted as an infant, and that he had allowed others to molest his child. "FL" stated that "the abuse of the child was easier when the child was too young to talk or know what was happening, but that he had drugged the child with Benadryl during molestation."
The University administrator is accused of logging into an online chat room and describing himself as a "perv dad for fun."
According to a confidential source (CS), a man using the user name "cooper2" or "cooperse" logged into an internet-based video chat room. CS saw him perform oral sex on an African-American child under the age of ten. He also performed other acts on the child, which are too obscene to be described in this column.
The user name "cooper2" has now been linked to Frank Lombard. A second source has now alleged that "cooper2" has confessed to being "into incest" and that he has adopted two African American children.
When news of this story broke, VOL sent an e-mail to Robinson asking for clarification about his relationship with Lombard, but got no response. "It is reported that he is a fan of yours," VOL wrote to Robinson.
VOL phoned The Episcopal Church of The Advocate, a pro-gay "welcoming" parish located in Carrboro, North Carolina, where Lombard worships and sought comment from the rector, Lisa G. Fischbeck, a deputy to General Convention. She did not respond.
The diocese did (finally) release a statement with Bishop Michael B. Curry responding to the arrest of the Duke researcher, "Frank Lombard is a parishioner of a congregation in the diocese of North Carolina. It is the bishop's policy that in matters such as these, clergy will cooperate fully with law enforcement and allow the judicial process to run its course. In keeping with this same policy, clergy will not comment on investigations which are still in progress. The bishops and clergy of this diocese are committed to making certain that all of our churches remain safe places where all may worship and serve God. The Church is providing pastoral care and spiritual guidance for all parishioners who have been affected by this painful situation."
VOL learned, upon further investigation, that Lombard is a major league purchaser of gay porn. He has purchased 68 items at Amazon.com including homoerotic books, gay sex movies and novels of one salacious form or another. Titles included Dear Boys, Spend The Day With Danny Diamond, Antibodies (Two-Disc Special Edition), Punish Me, Boy Crush and Naked Boys Singing and In The Blood. The full list can be seen here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1CP5PE0OHRG4G?tag=section_wis
Lombard's actions clearly blur the lines between homosexuality and pedophilia.
Mike Adams, writing on Townhall.com said that the Advocate website (www.ouradvocate.org) had a list of the members of its vestry, which included Frank Lombard. After Lombard was arrested for allegedly trying to peddle his five year old adopted son on the internet - for virtually unlimited sexual abuse by a stranger - the Advocate updated its site expunging Lombard's name. The church that says "We affirm, and welcome to our community and worship life, people of every kind of household and every stage of life and faith and doubt" is apparently excluding Frank Lombard.
"After the news of Lombard's arrest broke, I located his Face Book page so I could send him an interview request - but certainly not a "friend" request. For those not familiar with Face Book, it allows one to fill out a little "About me" line below one's profile picture. Mine says "I never dated Sarah Palin. But I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express." Until shortly after his arrest, Frank Lombard's read "Fan of Gene Robinson."
The scandal has clearly made Duke University nervous. Blogger Thomas Lifson wrote, "A new and even more scandalous rape allegation has surfaced at Duke University. Yet the usual media and campus PC crowd are keeping mighty quiet. Identity politics apparently trumps all sense of outrage.
"Of course, after the disgraceful media and university reaction to the phony allegations against Duke Lacrosse team members, it is wise avoid jumping to conclusions, but the comparative silence on the current case is nonetheless remarkable, considering how many particulars of the case were left out of the main AP account."
Observed Adams: "Identity politics are probably also involved in understanding the media response."
"Lombard, a licensed clinical social worker with a master's degree in social work, is a health-disparities researcher who studies HIV/AIDS in the rural South.
"This means that Lombard toiled in fields of the victimology industry, mining data for correlations that would underwrite government favoritism of victim groups.
"A victimologist victimized at least one child in the most heinous way. The ultimate victim(s). And the media sees no hypocrisy, and wants to make sure the public doesn't either. Nothing to see here, move along."
If Lombard is convicted, he faces a maximum of 20 years in prison. His arrest comes about a year after the Court decided that child rapists cannot be executed because "society" has "evolved" to the point where such executions would be "indecent."

ok so you admit that Most pedophiles are gay men. Thank you.
Posted by: The Patriot | July 06, 2009 at 12:35 PM
So let's see if I get this right; This guy is gay and an adopted father, so suddenly all adopted gay parents are pedophiles. He's a fan of Gene Robertson, so I guess Gene is in on it too, guilty by association even though he likely doesn't even know the guy.
Saying that most pediphiles are gay is as stupid as saying black people like fried chicken. It gives no consideration to the individual and looks to simply stereotype.
People who want to remain ignorant usually do, but the far greater population in society will look at this and identify it as the act of a depraved individual and not indicative of an entire class in society.
