Your help is urgently needed to see a victory for Democratic Candidate Deval Patrick and Lt. Governor Candidate Tim Murray. KnowThyNeighbor's Directors are pleased to join Congressman Barney Frank, Former Senator Cheryl Jacques, Mary Bonauto of GLAD, Rob Henry of Freedom to Marry, Marc Solomon of MassEquality and scores of other LGBT organizations, individuals and supporters at An LGBT Celebration for Deval Patrick.
Thursday, October 12th, 6 - 7:30pm
Westin Copley Place, 10 Huntington Avenue, Boston
Both Deval Patrick and Tim Murray support Marriage Equality and the defeat of the Constitutional Amendment on November 9th, however, electing this team means so much more that marriage rights for the LGBT community. Electing Patrick and Murray will put an end to an administration which has absolutely no understanding of the importance of the common decency and respect due to All people. Without this consciousness, our Commonwealth, our communities, its citizens and its children will never be allowed to reach their full potential. Electing Deval Patrick and Tim Murray, I know will put Positive Leadership back in the State House. From a personal standpoint, I look to the day when we all can celebrate our place as part of society, to know that we are protected equally under the law, that we are safe on so many levels, and that our children and LGBT children will not have to suffer what we have had to endure. Only a Patrick/Murray victory will help us see that day.
Please join the Directors of KnowThyNeighbor and others Leaders in the LGBT Community at next Thursday's fundraiser or make your contribution online today. The suggested contribution levels are $100, $250, and $500, though everybit helps. Asking your friends and family members to join you in even $10 or $20 donations will not only provide financial support, but will make them part of the Deval Patrick for Governor Team which will see his victory on November 7th. Please click here to make your secure online contribution and register for next week's celebration.
For those who are able to contribute more generously or find themselves able to gather multiple contributions, there is the added benefit of being able to attend a small pre-reception on October 12th with a contribution of $1000, $2500, or $5000.
If you would like to write a check instead of making an online contribution, please email Chris Byrnes at [email protected].
So please, make a contribution, keep the dialogue on equality going, and remember to vote on November 7th. We have ALL done so much, now let's push ourselves to do just a little bit more.
Thank you,
Tom Lang and Aaron Toleos, Directors
